Ekiti 2018: At last, coast clear for Ojudu’s gubernatorial declaration

Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Abdulganiyu Ojudu is set to declare his gubernatorial ambition on March 9 in the Ekiti State capital of Ado Ekiti, The DEFENDER can now authoritatively report.

The declaration is coming on the heel of the conclusion of the extensive consultation he had with all the critical stakeholders in the state both home and abroad as it relates to his gubernatorial ambition.

Ojudu, the only person so far to have ever clearly defeated the sitting Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose in an election to clinch the senatorial seat of representing Ekiti Central at the 7th Senate, is set to declare on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The presidential adviser it would be recalled was instrumental to the formation and nurturing in the Ekiti State.

The state is expected to go to the polls in July of this year to elect a new governor who will take over from Governor Ayodele Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) whose tenure expires this year.
