The matriarch of Alhaji Kola Animasaun, Alhaja Siliphat Modupe Animasaun knee Ajimobi, has sent the word of the Journalism family to Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his success at the June 6-8, 2922 presidential primary election of the party.
Alhaja Animasaun, who is senior cousin to late Oyo State Governor Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi, also thanked the eldest son of the late APC chieftain, Idris Ajimobi, for emerging winner of the legislative ticket to represent his Ibadan people in the 2023 state House of Assembly election.
The Iya Musulumi of Aiyede Kingdom, Ekiti State, in an exclusive message sent to The DEFENDER, particularly congratulated “my son” Hon. Jubreel AbdulKareem, who won the recent Lagos State House of Assembly, Agege Constituency II ticket, just like she congratulated Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly for retaining the ticket to re-contest and all others, whose emergence would have had the blessings of her husband, Alhaji Kola Animasaun, had he been alive.
Alhaja Animasaun, while reviewing the Tinubu’s emergence, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for truly beng the Nigerian Leader of the moment that is “truly for everybody and is for nobody”.
“I must acknowledge the neutrality of President Muhammadu Buhari in ensuring a fair and credible process that, against the thoughts of the naysayers, eventually saw APC presidential flagbearer coming from Southern Nigeria thus lifting higher the banner of Northern Nigeria in the political ranking of the country. With this, those who say North is problem of Nigeria can actually find something else to say.
“On behalf of the entire family, I congratulate our own Tinubu, Jubreel, Ajimobi and Obasa on the first stage successes while wishing them a huge successes at the general elections earlier next year, Inshallah,” Animasaun said.
