Deji of Akure attends Akorede-led Eid Al-Adha prayers

The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, on Wednesday May 27, 2026 joined Muslim faithful in Akure to observe this year’s Eid Al-Adha prayers.
The monarch attended the prayer session held at the Muslim praying ground along Oda Road, Akure, where worshippers including a former Chairman Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board and Baba Egbetokun Adinni of Akure Kingdom, Alhaji Jimoh Ibrahim Akindele ak.a. An-Nur, and Sarki Adinni of Akure Kingdom, Alhaji AbdulQadri Mustapha, gathered in large numbers to commemorate the annual Islamic festival.
The Eid prayer was led by Islamic cleric and Grand Chief Imam of Akure Kingdom, Sheikh AbdulHakeem Akorede, who charged adherents on the importance of sacrifice, obedience, peace, and unity as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim peace be upon him.
