De Renaissance Patriots delegation pays condolence visit to Badagry over late Akran

Responding, Prince Adeyemi expressed appreciation to the Foundation for its longstanding solidarity, recalling its previous visits before the passing of His Royal Majesty.
Members of De Renaissance Patriots Foundation, a socio-cultural organisation for Lagos State indigenes, paid condolence visit to the family of late Akran of Badagry, His Royal Majesty De Wheno Aholu Menu-Toye I, on Tuesday January 20, 2026.

The visit, in furtherance to earlier press release of Monday January 13, 2026 mourning the revered Monarch, was contained in a statement by Media Office of the Group made available to the media after the trip.
In a condolence letter read on behalf of the Foundation by its President, Mr. Miftah Bolaji Are, the late monarch was described “as a patriot and a principled custodian of Badagry’s heritage, quiet, conservative, and dignified in disposition.
He was also eulogised as “a ruler who consistently stood for the rights, identity, and dignity of the indigenous people for whom Lagos State was created.”
The Foundation’s delegation was received by members of the royal family, led by the late Monarch’s son, Adeyemi.
Responding, Prince Adeyemi expressed appreciation to the Foundation for its longstanding solidarity, recalling its previous visits before the passing of His Royal Majesty.
They wished the Foundation success in its mission to advance indigenous participation and leadership in the affairs of the state.
