Crescent varsity to honour ex-Head of State, Abubakar, Tinubu, Channels TV boss, Momoh at 8th convocation

The Crescent University, Abeokuta will be honouring the trio of the former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), Nigeria’s foremost politician, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Chief Executive Officer, Channels Television, Mr John Momoh at its 8th convocation ceremony coming up on Saturday October 15, 2016.
A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr. Idris Katib, also stressed that the formal investiture of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, as new Chancellor of the institution will take place during the event.
General Abubakar will be conferred with Doctor of Science (honoris causa) in Public Administration while Tinubu and Momoh will be decorated with Doctor of Science in Political Science and International Relations, and Doctor of Science in Mass Communication, respectively.
Crescent University, Abeokuta is the peak of the academic endeavour of the Islamic Movement for Africa (IMA), owned by Prince Bola Ajibola (SAN), a former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.
