The All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Nigerian President Buhari, allowed the ruling, opposition governors and other elected officers to emerge based on their ability. At election campaigns, he would ask APC and other Nigerian voters to vote for candidates of their choices across the parties.

Military Head of State (January 1, 1983/July 15, 1985), Major General Muhammadu Buhari as elected President 30 years after leaving office would refrain from interfering in activities of the legislature and judiciary because, according to him, only by effective separation of powers, institutions and not individuals, could be built. As no one is perfect, adhering to the laws and the Constitution ensures fairness and justice and, in turn, desired peace and stability for a nation.

His only example has just come in Burkina Faso where Military President Ibrahim Traore refused to be promoted to higher than his rank of Army Captain.

Let the record be kept straight. Did Bola Tinubu play a role in the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari? Absolutely YES! But so also did Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Atiku Abubakar, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Sharon Ikeazor, Bukola Saraki, Rochas Okorocha, Hamid Ali, Emeka Nwajiuba, Abubakar Malami, Chidia Maduekwe, Hannatu Akilu, Col. Abdallah, etc. etc. There are also millions of the Buhari Support groups members, who played vital roles, including fund-raising. Above all, Buhari himself, with his never unbundled 12.5 million votes, played his own role as his honesty and integrity shone through.

Sadly, Tinubu publicly confirmed in Abeokuta that, we believe, what we hear from his supporters is actually his own word when he said he was the one that made Buhari President saying in Yoruba that “if not for me, he would not be president”. He said Buhari had cried and said he would not do it again. What is the difference between him and Nyesom Wike he takes side with in the fueling of Rivers crisis if, because you asked Buhari to contest and not be tired and you were not the only one who invited him to contest, you now want Buhari to be seen as your godfatherist beneficiary? What is the difference between you and Wike, therefore?

Mallam Nasir El-Rufai actually initiated the move to drag Buhari back to contesting not Tinubu, like he (Mallam) has also initiated the move to remove you (Tinubu) in 2027 which will happen. What is the difference between you and Wike if because of this, you are now claiming that you crowned Buhari as President? How do you want us to believe you when you were also the same one who almost made Nigeria ungovernable for him? Who funded #ENDSARS?

Where were the food items produced by Buhari’s government using Godwin Emefiele-led Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to achieve at cheaper rates and brought to sell in Lagos? Who was touted to be the Garrison Commander of Lagos State Politics and Economy at the time? Tinubu. Despite leaving office since 2007, he remained and still remains controller of powers in Lagos even though the owners of Lagos State are now ready to take their state from him. How did 50kg bag of Nigerian rice brought from Kano, Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre, at N7,000 become N16,000 per bag in the Lagos that you controlled with your “daughter” as Iyaloja General, your “son” as Advertisements Manager, your wife allegedly in charge of land especially of the free trade zone and your MC Oluomo in charge of transportation as head of Agbero?

You made Buhari President in May 2015, Abi? But what you went to do immediately was to grab the control of the National Assembly so you could control the President like you control the governor of Lagos State with Lagos Assembly you control. You wanted your own Femi Gbajabiamila as Speaker House of Representatives and your man from Yobe, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, as Senate President but, against what your supporters want us to know of you as master strategist, Atiku was smarter than you as he practically installed both officers: Saraki and Yakubu Dogara. And you are master strategist oo, Abi?

Atiku left the party for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because he was not comfortable with the way President Buhari played neutral expecting the president to be able to caution Tinubu and tame his excesses, considering how he tried to dismantle the control of its just coming government when a text message believed was sent by him (Tinubu) was claimed to have been sent by Presudent Buhari, who was still in Germany planning to come to Nigeria and inaugurate the National Assembly.  Tinubu allegedly sent those text messages to the NASS members-elect to converge at the International Conference Centre Abuja and it was not the president that sent the message but Tinubu.

Atiku rather asked Saraki, Dogara and other loyalists of his in the then APC to stay behind at the National Assembly Complex. Before Tinubu knew, National Assembly members had been inaugurated without the president, who was already unhappy with the Tinubu’s attitude, in attendance. That was how for the first time opposition member emerged Deputy Senate President in Ike Ekweremadu and that saved Buhari’s government from being hijacked by Tinubu through control of National Assembly. And they call this man master strategist? How do you eulogise self-centered political playing that causes crisis everywhere in the country as knowing how to play politics if not that you, inside yourself, are rotten, devious and inhuman?

So, I challenge anyone that has the muscle, to come out and tell Nigerians how Tinubu made Muhammadu Buhari, a war veteran, former Army Secretary, former General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Mechanised Division Nigerian Army, former Federal Minister for Petroleum Resources, former Military Governor North Eastern State, former Military Head of State after foreign service, former Chairman Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), before becoming elected President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2015 and re-elected in 2019. This was not hearsay, Tinubu himself said so and the record needs to be put straight.

And when they say the man has no brain, no heart, with low self-esteem and so does not know anything about state management, many in the Buhari’s camp did not exonerate Tinubu from the cooking of that dummy. They (Tinubu’s supporters) said it was Tunde Idiagbon that was ruling not Buhari during the military era. What did they not say? So much that because of Tinubu, Buhari’s control of South West dwindled yet the Daura born President still won re-election without Tinubu’s support.

In Ondo earlier, Tinubu worked with Ayo Fayose, sitting Ekiti State Governor and Ondo State Governor Rahman Olusegun Mimiko, both PDP, after seeing that his support for Olusola Oke of Alliance for Democracy (AD) would not work out, to ensure that Governorship Candidate of his own All Progressives Congress (APC), Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) now of blessed memory, would not win election. He wanted PDP to win against his own party of which he was always called National Leader, a title Buhari was exclusively entitled to but ceded the title to Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His supporters of today knew this happened and failed to see it as President Buhari being his democratic self. He worked against the party, while his supporters branded Okorocha and Amosun with allegations of anti-party.

Also, Tinubu went on to initiate anti-party in the Edo governorship election of 2021 where he not only attacked the former National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun but used Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman of the APC to deprive the sitting APC Governor Godwin Obaseki of a second term despite knowing that Buhari showed interest in having him get the chance after same Oshiomhole had collected ₦25 million for the Expression of Intention and Registration Form he obtained to re-contest.

It was all Tinubu’s game by which he fought and removed all Buhari’s men from relevance in APC across the 36 states of the Federation, which we knew was because he was being over ambitious to succeed Buhari in 2023. His supporters call this devious manipulations, “knowing how to play politics”, but more reasonable Nigerians in and outside of the same party, call it “hypocritical, self-centered, egocentric, unprogressive and poli-tricks.

There was crisis caused by immediate past governors wanting to control their successors, for example in Sokoto, Kano, Edo and others. At a time his supporters were talking unrealistically of how their “master strategist” had been sidelined, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Tinubu to go round the country and reconcile APC members in those respective states.

Alas, on getting there, Tinubu was taking sides and not reconciling. In Sokoto he took sides with Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako against sitting Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR. He took side with Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje against Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in Kano among others. This was what led to Tambuwal’s defection from APC to PDP and Kwankwaso back to PDP ahead 2019 and later to New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) where he and Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf were able to defeat landslide the APC in 2023. Still it was because of Tinubu that Kano remains in crisis of Emirate and political thuggery till today.

Now, how did Tinubu then make Buhari in all of these? If you made everybody president, why did you need to cry Emi Lokan (it is my turn ooo) and not just quietly invoke your supernatural power of producing a president and put yourself there? El-Rufai made through for you, the reason you begged him publicly not to run away after leaving office as Governor of Kaduna State but join you at the Federal Government to fix Nigeria. Immediately you got there, he was your first target to be destroyed but your supporters who are running their gutter mouths outside, are too dumb to remember how you promised and later went back on your words. You have no honour, whatsoever.

In 2003, Afenifere that brought you from Osun using the Kabiru Tinubu family and Habibatu Mogaji for you to first become Senator of Lagos West in 1990 and Governor in 1999, became your first target to be relegated, destroyed and later you caused crisis within that Yoruba socio-cultural group to polarise and pluralise it as it remains till today.

Afenifere was the means Yoruba of Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, Osun and Ogun used to snatch power of Lagos for non-indigenes you led in 1999 because whereas we could see the votes of indigenous PDP Governorship Candidate Funsho Williams that owners and indigenes of Lagos State voted for, over 700,000 votes, Tinubu’s over one million votes they used some known persons – still floating as political jobbers till today – to write after rigging Ikorodu and Ikeja for you cannot be justified till today. No honour.

That was the same way they used over one million votes claim to remove Ambode as APC candidate in 2019 only for APC’s Babajide Sanwo-Olu to secure around 600,000 votes in the general election. Where did the one million voters in the direct primaries go on the day of election? No explanation.
