Civil Defence rescue 19 year old girl from Sambisa

Men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have rescued a 19 year old mother and her eight months old baby.

The Adamawa State Commander of the corps presented the 19 year old lady, Mumina Alhaji Hamidu who escaped from Boko Haram insurgents in Sambisa forest to media men in Yola on Friday.

The commander noted that the lady had escaped from sambisa to Cameroon and was on her way back to Nigeria when she was picked up by his men.

Ndanusa said the girl and her baby would be transferred to relevant authorities for rehabilitation.

When‎ interviewed by journalists, Mumina said she was forced in to marriage with one of her captors, Ba Gana who is the father of her baby.

According to her, she and her friend escaped at night when the militants were not around.
