Chad set to join forces with Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso in AES

The revolutionary movement started by the trio of Army Captain Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso, and leaders of the other countries in the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) namely Mali and the Republic of Nigeria is now gaining more grounds by the day.

This is as the winds of change keep blowing across Africa to the feel of Chad, which has now shown a keen interest in joining forces with the Alliance, a growing coalition spearheaded by three countries.
If this comes to fruition, it could be a significant leap towards a united and self-sufficient West Africa, free from outside influence, interference and intimidation.
Already a single currency, shared military, and unified vision have been the main strategy of the Alliance, which sees so far each member country rejecting advances from the West especially its agency, the International Monitary Fund (IMF) to take loan.
The AES dream is gaithering momentum — and this is just the beginning, according to a source on Saturday.
