Buhari returns to Nigeria on Friday
*Receives Arcbishop of Canterbury in Abuja House UK
The Presidency has hinted that President Muhammadu Buhari will be back in the country on Friday.
This hint was made in a three-paragraph statement signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER on Thursday.
According to the statement, “President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to return to the country tomorrow, Friday March 10, 2017.
“The President left the country on January 19, 2017 for a vacation, during which he had routine medical check-ups. The holiday was extended based on doctors’ recommendation for further tests and rest.
“President Buhari expresses appreciation to teeming Nigerians from across the country, and beyond, who had prayed fervently for him, and also sent their good wishes,” Femi Adesina said in the statement.
…Buhari receives Archbishop of Canterbury in UK
Earlier on Thursday, President Muhammadu Buhari at Abuja House in London had received the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
The President, who is on an extended vacation in the United Kingdom, in photographs posted on his twitter handle @MBuhari, was decked in a yellow prayer gown with a white cap; while his visitor was in a black suit.
“Very pleased to welcome the Most Revd and Rt Hon @JustinWelby, Archbishop of Canterbury, to Abuja House this afternoon,” Buhari wrote.
President Buhari and Archbishop Welby exchanged handshake in one of the photographs.
