Buhari: Accusation by one Nigerian and counter-accusation by another, by Prince Ade on Facebook Social Media

They say Buhari is corrupt and they says this by referring to what I will post as “A” bellow.  Then I reply them in what I will post as “B” bellow:

  1. They said: Who can please dispute all these?

Between OBJ, Jonathan and Buhari, records have it that Obasanjo sacked his IGP Tafa Balogun for corruption. He sacked the then Senate President Adolfus Wabara for corruption. He also sacked his own minister, Febian Osuji for corruption.

Description of image

It on records that Jonathan sacked Stella Odua for corruption. Stella Odua was one of the most powerful minister in Jonathan’s administration. But when she was said to have erred, Jonathan sacked her. Jonathan also sacked Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina as the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform for corruption.

Now, tell me who your Buhari sacked for the same corruption.

Mind you, If you tell me that Buhari sacked Babachir, I will happily reminded you that the same Buhari wrote the Senate, defended and exonerated Babachir of all wrong doings leveled against him. It was the cry of people like me and some good Nigerians that forced him to sacked Babachir and have him replaced with his own brother, Boss Mustapha. In other word, Mr. Babachir brought his own replacement.

Yet, some demented fools will still what me to believe that Buhari is Mr. Integrity and that he is fighting corruption.

Let me also remind you that Buhari also reappointed the following guys who were all sacked for corruption and violation of their offices:

Abdulrasheed Maina:
Maina was the chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform. He was secretly recalled and reinstated by Buhari. He was even promoted to the position of director in charge of human resources in the ministry of interior. Maina was dismissed by Jonathan in 2013 following recommendations by the Office of the Head of Service. He was said to have stolen over 20 billion naira from the pension fund.

CP Zakari Biu:
CP Biu was dismissed following his complicity in the escape from police detention of notorious Boko Haram suspect, Kabiru Sokoto. He was reinstated and promoted to the rank of AIG by Buhari before he was gloriously retired from active service.

NHIS Boss, Prof Usman Yusuf:
Prof Yusuf was said to have squandered over 997 million naira from the schemes intervention fund. Investigation was carried out and he was dully sacked by the minister of health. But because he is Buharis brother, he was recently reinstated.

Mallam Ahmed Saleh.
Saleh was the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court. He connived with two others (Mohammed Abdulrahaman Sharif and Rilwanu Lawal) and stole 2.2 billion naira belonging to the apex court. They were also said to have received gratifications totaling 74.4 million naira from private contractors who were providing services to the apex court. Mallam Saleh was sacked but Buhari reinstated him and promoted him as the Secretary of Legal Council of Nigeria.

Don’t ever tell me that Buhari is fighting corruption. Facts on ground are showing otherwise. Some of us work with facts not emotions.

  1. How I replied them

Tell whoever wrote this that Buhari is neither Obasanjo nor Jonathan. So, nobody should expect him to use the same useless method of fighting corruption like Obasanjo and Jonathan did. Whereas all of those he said Obasanjo and Jonathan sacked for corruption happened, why eventually did Obasanjo regime carried the many corruption allegations on its neck regard Halliburton, $16billion power project without added megawatt and all of the N500 million per NASS member allegation to earn third term?

How many Nigerians knew Obasanjo was fighting corruption other than Ribadu organising impeachment of erring governors and PROSECUTING them in a way that people felt it was fighting enemies. I however love that he established EFCC and ICPC.

Jonathan? Recall how EFCC he put in place shared recovered loots? Where is the corruption Jonathan fought where EFCC under him cried out it could not perform because it was underfunded? Hr starved EFCC but empowered Femi Fani-Kayode and Raymond Dokpesi to run destructive campaigns of hate against GMB.

Today, officials of Jonathan government are having corruption trials in billions of dollars and Naira against them and they claim they were working for Jonathan. Jumoke Akinjide just refunded N650 million and Patience Jonathan just soft pedalled asking EFCC for out of court settlement.

In a feedback on my Facebook post on this, Lukman Oladipo Agbomabiwon, a Lagos-based businessman, contributed and said, “And why did Patience (Jonathan) want to settle out of court if truly d cash belongs to her, y not defend it…?”

I then replied him, “Thanks Sir, Alhaji Lukman Oladipupo Agbomabiwon, that is the reason I wanted to sink into the head of the author of those malicious allegations. They just want Nigerians to see the issue of Maina from the angle of Muhammadu Buhari shielding corruption, knowingly failing to admit that Maina was reinstated by court not in Buhari’s regime but their own Goodluck Jonathan‘s regime.

“Buhari’s promise to us is that he will govern us by rule of law.  If a court has reinstated somebody just like many armed robbers have been set free from prison by Nigerian courts in the past, it is not the business of the executive particularly of Buhari to breach the Constitution by refusing the verdict of the court.

“It only behooves us that know that reinstating Maina is evil to return to that same court or Appeal Court and file our objection so that Maina will not only remain sacked but also be handed to EFCC for prosecution.  But because we have been deprived the opportunity of knowing what rule of law is for particularly since 1999 that democracy returned, we think that Buhari is doing wrongly by looking at court’s verdict taking its course.  We forget that sentiment or agitation is not the way to go but just follow the process of the rule of law and that is all.

“Can you see how some people can be so maliciously foolish? They are so bitter about Yusuf of NHIS. I have asked them on a whatsap platform to tell me where is one single corruption committed by reinstated Yusuf but instead of them giving simple answer, they shamefully would go underground to come again when another chance to make controversy popular arises.

“And they talk about CP Zakari Biu who was made AIG. Let me ask, under whose regime did Sokoto, Boko Haram member, escape from police custody? Under Goodluck Jonathan regime. If Jonathan failed to sack Biu but Buhari came and used Jonathan’s IGP for close to one year before he retired and he appointed another IGP, where is it the business of Buhari’s Presidency to know which CP was in service who should not be promoted when there is no information to that effect and when the laws do not permit him to start pokenosing? These guys should be careful.”
