Some officials from the British High Commission, Lagos, Nigeria, visited the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos, His Royal Highness Dr Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II in the morning of Friday.

They included Dr Manoj Joshi, Chairman, Bradford Economic Partnership, Founder/Sponsor and Chairman Board of Governors, Bradford Academy School, Court Member, University of Bradford, Rotary International District Governor for Yorkshire and Humber Region 2019-2022, as well as Founder and Director, Britannia Care Home.

Also on the team were Dr Joshi’s wife, Mrs Bhavna Joshi, Mr Nigel Wood OBE, Chairman, Bradford Bulls Rugby Club and Former Chairman, Rugby League International Federation, and Mr Graham Swain, gravedigger and philanthropist, specialising in Islamic burial practices

During their meeting, they discussed issues relating to religion and tradition, apparently harping on need for peace in Nigeria and the world, while commending the efforts of the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos and of the entire Arewa people in the South West in committing to peaceful co-existence with their host communities.

On the ground to personally receive the august visitors was the monarch was the monarch himself, who commended them for their love and interest in the peace of the nation.
