Updates from United States of America have it that lawyers to Nigeria’s former Vice President Atiku Abubakar are comfortably now in possession of academic records of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as handed over to them by Chicago State University authorities on Monday.

In a development that has sparked intrigue and speculation, lawyers representing Atiku, who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in February 25 el3ction, reportedly received academic documents from Chicago State University believed to be related to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a prominent Nigerian political figure.

The revelation comes courtesy of Jackson Ude, a US-based Nigerian investigative journalist, who took to social media to share the news.

In his tweet, Ude stated, “THE DOCUMENTS ARE NOW OUT.

“Atiku Abubakar’s lawyers are now in possession of the academic records from Chicago State University. They are checking to make sure it is what has been demanded that were released before making them public. Hang on. You will all see them in a few!”

The nature and contents of these documents remain shrouded in mystery, leaving many curious about their significance and implications.

While it is unclear what specific information the documents contain, the fact that they are now in the hands of Atiku Abubakar’s legal team has raised questions about their potential relevance to the political landscape.

Further adding to the credibility of this revelation, David Hundeyin, another Nigerian investigative journalist, confirmed the report through his verified X account (formerly known as Twitter).

Hundeyin’s acknowledgment of the documents being handed over to Atiku’s lawyers has added weight to the unfolding story.

“The set of documents from @ChicagoState pertaining to “Bola A. Tinubu” obtained under subpoena by Atiku Abubakar is available below.” See details in X (tweets below):

The DEFENDER had earlier reported David Hundeyin’s update that revealed how Tinubu’s Legal team went to three US courts to appeal the second court ruling ordering release of the academic records by Chicago State University Monday, just as preparations were on for the handing over of the all-important documents to Atiku’s lawyers.

The efforts, however, failed as the courts rejected the attempts.

The release of these documents has generated anticipation and curiosity among the public and political observers alike.

Speculation is rife regarding the possible impact of these documents on the political climate, especially in the lead-up to any future elections or political developments involving the individuals concerned.

It remains to be seen when and how Atiku Abubakar’s legal team will choose to make these documents public, as they continue to verify their authenticity and relevance.

As the story unfolds, Nigerians and the international community will be watching closely to understand the potential implications of this intriguing development.
