Breaking: Sanwo-Olu finally declared winner of Lagos Governorship Primary election
After weeks of serious struggle regarding whether or not Governor Akinwumi Ambode would be allowed a second term, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has finally laid the issues to rest as it declares the former chief details in the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the winner of its governorship primaries in Lagos State.
The declaration was made on Wednesday by the Chairman of the Electoral Panel appointed by the party’s National Working Committee, Clement Ebri.
The Lagos announcement was unlike Ogun State’s where, against the declaration by Electoral Panel appointed by NWC, the state chapter of the APC declared Akinlade.
Ebri had on Tuesday declared the primaries conducted by the leadership of the party in Lagos State, with Tunde Balogun as Chairman, as null and void.
However, the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, described the election as a done deal.
This was followed by Ebri’s announcement on Wednesday.
Sanwo-Olu vied for the ticket with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
