BREAKING: President Buhari returns to Abuja after attending Saudi’s summit
President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, from Saudi Arabia after attending the Future Investment Initiative Summit, organised by Future Investment Institute in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Tuesday 26 October, 2021.
Mr. Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, announced the President’s arrival at the Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 9pm Friday, 29 October, 2021.
President Buhari was received on arrival at the Abuja Airport by top government officials, security chiefs and walked straight into a waiting shopper, which flew him to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
The DEFENDER early in Friday, in update reports of the President’s visit, said he held a meeting in the Holy City of Makkah with Nigerians resident in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and and he was expected back in Nigeria same-day based on a statement released before he departed Nigeria on Monday.
During the meeting in Makkah earlier on Friday, President Buhari assured the Diaspora Nigerians that he would leave office when his tenure expires on 29 May, 2023 and then warned people campaigning for tenure elongation for him to stop it.
