BREAKING: Ojudu withdraws from Ekiti governorship race

Senator Babafemi Ojudu, who is one of the contesters for the single ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in tomorrow rescheduled primary election of the Party, has pulled out of the contest.

Ojudu, who is a member of the Nigeria’s Seventh Senate, said he took the decision because the National Working Committee (NWC) has failed to ensure a transparent process leading to the emergence of an acceptable candidate.

He accused the APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, of promoting injustice and favouring a particular aspirant, The DEFENDER gathered.

Calls to Ojudu’s two phone lines were yet to go through as the lines were unreachable to get direct details from the renowned journalism icon, who is currently Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters.
