Boko Haram logistics base busted, fuel suppliers arrested in Gujba

Troops of Sector Two Operation HADIN KAI, on Saturday May 29 2021, raided suspected Boko Haram logistics base in Gujba, Yobe State during which logistic suppliers of the evil agents were arrested.

Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, Director of Army Public Relations, made this known in a statement he issued at the Military High Command in Abuja on Saturday and copy obtained by The DEFENDER.

According to General Yerima, “Following a sting operation conducted, gallant troops nabbed two suspected Boko Haram logistics suppliers and several items recovered. Items recovered include; 11 jericans loaded with Premium Motor Spirit popularly called petrol, 6 jericans of Automotive Gas Oil and 9 empty jericans hidden in different locations in Gujba.

“The suspects arrested  are in own custody for preliminary investigations and would be handed over for prosecution by relevant agencies.”

While appreciating the gallant troops for the feat, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Farouk Yahaya, enjoined them to sustain the tempo and clear all suspected fortress and hideouts of the criminal elements.
