Attah of Aiyede greets Sultan of Sokoto on 15th coronation anniversary

By BASHIR ADEFAKA

The Attah and Paramount Ruler of Aiyede Kingdom, Ekiti State, Oba Alhaji AbdulMumini Adebayo Orishagbemi, has described the 15 years on throne of Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, as a period of great achievements for Nigeria as a nation and as a community of religious and traditional institutions and people.

The Attah, in a statement on Sunday, noted the efforts of the Sultan in ensuring that the peace and tranquility that have eluded the country over the years are restored and said two more multifaceted leaders of stature of the Sariki Musulumi of Nigeria will make the country an eldorado, working with those that control the political power of Nigeria to make the country great.

The Attah particularly noted that issues of reprisals in time of crisis that Nigeria has witnessed cannot be far from the fact of collaboration that the successor of the Usmaniyyah throne has had with the government at all levels and prayed that even the uncommon insecurity that the country has shared, unfortunately, from the global terrorism trend, “the Sultan has been very active on proffering solutions to government and security forces at the theatre.”

Attah Orishagbemi, who expressed confidence that restoration of peace and security is near in Nigeria, said, “To begin to use words to describe the leader of leaders that Sultan is, cannot be a task too much to perform but, simply put, like I have always said, there is no better way to extol the virtues of the Sultan to reaffirm him as my Spiritual Leader,” he reiterated.

He said, “My love for His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, mni, has been unquantifiable because, I have continued to find him as an enigma and a pragmatic person that I believe was chosen by Allah on 2 November 2006 to correct many wrongs in the Nigeria’s religious and traditional settings.

“This can be attested to in the natural love and respect that enjoys and continues to command, even within the Christian fold, although he is Leader of Muslim Ummah of Nigeria, and which he has been accorded in the traditional community of people of the country.

“I can only pray that Allah will bless the work of His Eminence and accept it as act of worship, while I wish him more successful years on the throne.

“Congratulations my Spiritual Leader! Congratulations to the Sokoto Caliphate!! Congratulations to the government and entire people of Sokoto State!!!” The Attah of Aiyede Kingdom greeted.
