By BASHIR ADEFAKA

In Isale Eko, Lagos State today Friday July 12, 2024, members, including the direct children,  grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren will get together for the celebration of life and remembrance of His Royal Majesty Late Oba Musendiku Adeniji-Adele II, and pray for his soul.

Although not in an elaborate show of a glamour-plated occasion, Oba Adeniji-Adele’s strong and strong role as first class monarch with recognition up to Britain and in the advocacy, which eventually made possible the “Stand Alone” statehood of Lagos, will refuse any mention of him being swept into unnoticed silence.

With today’s event, 60 years after “Oba ‘wa’ja’ (his demise), the flag of the glory of Lagos indigenes “Gedegbe l’Eko Wa’ fought assiduously for by Oba Adeniji-Adele and has been taken over by De Renaissance Patriots Foundation, will be raised far higher as he remains in history as about the Oba of Lagos with so much of good, great stories to talk about his concerns and passion for Lagos State, which finally came to fruition in 1967, three years after his demise in 1964.

Details later…
