By KEMI KASUMU

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed London, capital of the United Kingdom (UK) for Paris, capital of France, where he is expected to attend an important engagement.

Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Kabir Masari, confirmed this on Friday October 11, 2024 via his verified X (Twitter) handle, @KabirIbrah64.

Masari said that he had the honour of visiting President Tinubu at his private residence in the UK, where they engaged in productive discussions before departing for Paris.

According to him, “Today, I had the honor of visiting President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu at his private residence in the United Kingdom, where we engaged in productive discussions.

“We then departed for Paris, France, for another important engagement.”

Although details of the engagement were not disclosed, the President’s trip is believed to be part of his elaborate plan to see the country make the most of various engagements.

President Tinubu departed Nigeria on Wednesday October 2, a day after celebrating 64th Anniversary of Nigeria’s Independence from British colonialists, for a two-week working vacation in the same British society, as part of his annual leave.

Recall that Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on October 2, announced Tinubu’s departure for the two-week vacation

Onanuga in a short statement said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for the United Kingdom to begin a two-week vacation, part of his yearly leave.

“He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.

“He will return to the country after the leave expires.”
