The Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Dr. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, will not forget the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi, in a hurry.

He said in an exclusive message to The DEFENDER that the late politician’s death remains a great loss to Nigeria, considering his contributions to services of his Lord, Oyo State and the betterment of Nigerians across tribes and religions resident in the state.

The Amirul Mu’mineen of Nigeria said, “when I visited Ibadan to commission a mosque he was instrumental to building as one of my many assignments at that time in the South West, we had a joke about his wife and he didn’t know he would not live to see what we joked about coming to past”.

He said, “That is Allah’s way of doing his own things and we have no choice than to accept his decision. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.

Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar, who also doubles as Chairman of the National Traditional Rulers Council of Nigeria (NTRCN), seized the message to condole with the family of the deceased, the governor, government and people of Oyo State while he prayed for Allah to repose his soul in Al-Jannah Firdaus.

Ajimobi’s eighth day fidau prayers were held yesterday Sunday July 5, 2020 in an event merely announced by his media aide, Bolaji Tunji, to be a family affair.
