Again, terrorists kill 30, abduct others in fresh Northern Nigeria attacks

By OUR REPORTER
Ten days after United States President Donald Trump claimed that his airstrikes, for which Nigerian President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government reportedly provided intelligence, had killed all terrorists in the country, innocent Nigerians numbering up to 30 have been killed while many others are kidnapped as suspected bandits attacked a community in Niger State in Northern Nigeria..
The bandits, who were said to be operating from Kainji Lake National Park, reportedly attacked a village market in Kabe District, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, setting it ablaze.
The criminals burned down the market and also looted food items and other wares.
The assailants also reportedly shot at villagers, and abducted many along paths leading to the expansive Kainji Lake National Park forest.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, while confirming the incident, said a joint security team had visited the scene, and efforts were ongoing to rescue the kidnapped victims.
“Over 30 victims lost their lives during the attack, some persons were also kidnapped,” Abiodun said.
The fact that cases of terrorism have continued to occur, despite the United States’ Christmas day airstrikes to have killed all the terrorists, has made many Nigerians to feel the Trump’s acclaimed bombing in the Sokoto State environs was a scam.
This is as a respondent, who spoke under condition of anonymity, said, “We knew that what Trump wanted to come and do in Nigeria was different from what it said publicly that he was coming to do.
“No Nigerian Christian should ever celebrate him as Savior because the saviour from terrorism is our government we voted for under the watch of Almighty God to provide security for all of us regardless of religion and tribe.”
