“Let us pray for our regions and states to attract people like Aliko Dangote. This is a man who relocated from Kano to Lagos in 1978, and after forty six years, he singlehandedly controls 21% of Lagos State’s economy. Yet, he has never claimed that he developed Lagos.”
Adamu Aliyu, a Nigerian and digital creator, posted a comment by one Victor Uzima and which appears to reply some pro-importation Nigerians on the colour of petrol produced by Dangote Refinery.
In the social media post titled, “WHY DANGOTE FUEL IS WHITE”, Uzima, whose connection with the company is unknown, explained reason behind the “water like” look of the new Nigerian locally refined fuel coming from the Kano-born Aliko Dangote’s yet to be matched industry.
He wrote, “Reason why the PMS is pure like water. Petrol has different colors, When it’s Red that means Octane was added. When it’s slightly Green then Octane is slightly very much. When is Yellow it means it has no lead in it. That means it’s unleaded.
“But when it’s clear as water as seen in the video then you should know that ethanol was used.
Function of ethanol in fuel
“What ethanol does is that it improves engine efficiency and power. Because ethanol has a good amount of oxygen it lessens the amount of carbonation in engines there by reducing air pollution which comes as Carbon dioxide.
“So this is the best form of Petrol. Congratulations Dangote,” Victor Uzima said.
The DEFENDER’s effort to get Dangote Group’s Director of Communication, Mr. Anthony Chiejina, or Dangote Refinery to confirm the truth of infornation provided by Victor Uzima, whether he is connected to the company or not, proved abortive as at the time of filing this report on Wednesday.
More Dangote desired
In the meantime, a post by Honest TV Media Promotion stated that the country needs to pray to have more illustrious people like Alhaji Aliko Dangote, a Fulani from Kano State, North West Nigeria, who has led the way to actualisation of the country’s dream of many decades.
“Let us pray for our regions and states to attract people like Aliko Dangote. This is a man who relocated from Kano to Lagos in 1978, and after forty six years, he singlehandedly controls 21% of Lagos State’s economy. Yet, he has never claimed that he developed Lagos.
“Listening to him yesterday was such a humbling experience. Hr was down to Earth. He did not brag. He shared the spotlight with his staff and let them talk. He then gave kudos to the Lagos State Government, specifically identifying past Governors who helped him become what he is today.
“Humility is a trait that some of us need. If we had it, we would not have problems in Lagos, South Africa, Thailand, Kenya and many other places. In truth, those people do not hate Nigerians. Rather, they despise the pride, arrogance, and indifference to the feelings of host communities displayed by some Nigerians.
“May God help our brothers and sisters with these traits learn one or two things from Mr. Dangote that will help them develop better relations with their fellow Nigerians and people worldwide,” it ended the comment with hashtag #TableShaker.
On Tuesday, Dr. Uche Diala thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for helping Nigeria actualise its dream of producing the likes Dangote in the form of the Dangote Refinery.
