On Saturday, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar visited tge Palace of the Emir of Zazzau in the Zazzau Emirate headquarters of Zaria.
The Leader of Northern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council and the monarchs council in Nigeria, in general, was in the ancient city to attend the sixth graduation ceremony of Nurul Tilawa International School Zaria.
Characteristic of him, the Sultan had embarked on the 5-hour VIP movement from Sokoto to Zaria, which underscores the premium he places on the Holy Qur’an just like he does to the mosque that would make him travel, regardless of the distance and project size, to honour invitation to commission any newly built or renovated mosque anywhere in the country.
Students of Qur’anic Memorisation, who finished from the Nurul Tilawa International School Zaria, were being graduated and the Sultan made it a duty on him not only to be heard as being present but, more importantly, be seen to be physically in attendance.
He was accompanied by his royal host and Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, to the venue of the august occasion that was also attended by the Emir of Kontagora (Sarkin Sudan), Nigeria State, His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammad Barau Mu’azu, among several other traditional leaders and dignitaries.
At the event that took place at the Congo Conference Hotel in Zaria, Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar praised the efforts of the kid-students and their teachers for largely the Qur’anic education successes recorded.
