AFCON 2023: I’ll be first to drink with Nation’s Cup after Eagles victory, Eze Igbo Cote d’Ivoire tells visiting Supporters Club delegation

The Nigeria’s Super Eagles will clash with Guinea-Bissau in their final Group A fixture evening of today, Monday January 22, 2024 at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan.

As part of mobilising total support for the Nigerian soccer stars, the Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC) led by its President, Prince Vincent Okumagba, paid official visit to HRM Eze Emmanuel Ikechukwu Chukwuma (Eze Igbo Cote D’Ivoire).

The SESC delegation Chairman, Chigozie Nnadi, Mr Jamiu Odubote aka Baggio and Prince Happy Ehiedu were transported to the royal palace by the manager, Chief Matthew Uche, and Chima Ibie of Young Shall Grow Motors from the park house at Trashville in Cote D’Ivoire, on Sunday.

As the supporters club members rode during the long drive, host Cote D’Ivoire citizens were visibly happy and interested hearing the drumming and singing of the Nigerian soccer stars cheerers.

At the palace, a crowd of all traditional kings from all the various states and representatives were all waiting for the Super Eagles Supporters.

The Onowu Ndi Igbo in Cote D’Ivoire Ichie Chief ughochukwu Nnadi, was at the palace gate to welcome the Super Eagles Supporters Club led by Chigozie Nnadi representing SESC President Prince Vincent Okumagba.

The various kinsmen on ground with their leader to receive tge Club members included High Chief Peter Onwarah Ugwa (Akudinyere Nwata), Ikenga Igbo; High Chief Chinedu Ezenwakka (Ononugbo Jesus), Head of the Traditional Title Holders; High Chief Charles Anietu (Ojichukwu ji ife na Anam), Ozor Chief Godwin Enemor (Ozor Obata Uno adi MMA); among others.

HRM Eze Emmanuel Ikechukwu prayed for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, the Supporters Club delegation, with and expressed wish that, as soon as the Super Eagles lift the 2023 nations cup, he will be the first to use it to drink water before the Nigerian Ambassador in Cote D’Ivoire.

Highlights of the day was HRM Eze Emmanuel Ikechukwu asking for more drumming and singing from the band led by Adewole Gbenga.

The Jose Peseiro’s side is playing today following the 1-0 win over host Cote d’Ivoire in their last game on Friday.
