Bilyaminu Ismail elected new Zamfara Assembly Speaker

The Zamfara State House of Assembly has elected Bilyaminu Ismail of Zurmi West as the new Speaker, while Adamu Aliyu of Gummi II Constituency is elected as Deputy Speaker.
Speaking shortly after taking the orth of office, the new speaker pleaged to support the government of Dauda Lawal to succeed.
He said the government was on rescue mission and so all hands must be on deck to support the desire to develop the state in all sphares of human endeavour.
He called on his colleagues, particularly the opposition members in the house, to reciprocate government’s efforts by contributing towards the rescue mission of the government.
The election and swearing in were presided over buy the Clerk, Hon. Shehu Saidu Anka, and witnessed by the Deputy Governor, Mallam Mani, as well as well wishers and party supporters.
