Kwara sweeps medals as Teqball tour event ends in Asaba

The maiden Edition of the Bet9ja Delta state National Teqball tour may have come and gone, the memories will linger for a long time to come.

The four-day event which held at the famous Stephen keshi international stadium in Asaba, from May 10th to 13th 2023, had over Ten states participating in the fast growing sport in Nigeria.

At the end of the championship, Kwara state emerged the best of them all after sweeping the medals following their appearance in the finals of all five events.

The dominant Kwara state defeated Taraba in the men doubles final 2-0 to clinch the gold, just as they also took out Edo in the mixed doubles final 2-0 and went on to also win the gold in the women’s single final following 2-0 win over Edo.

Kwara state won the gold in the men’s singe as Nigeria number one and world 34 best Teqball player Victor Oyemade defeated a fellow Kwara state player and Nigeria number
