High-power endorsement as Bambado II remains Sarkin Fulani of Lagos, Yaro Sarkin Hausawa

The unfortunate leadership tussle that has rocked the Arewa community in Lagos State for sometimes now has finally been pushed to history as stakeholders resolve that Dr. Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II remains the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos State, while Alhaji Aminu Dogara Yaro, after the resolution, was endorsed as Sarkin Hausawa.
The resolution came on the heels of an intervention by the Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who endorsed both leaders as sole Sarkis of their respective communities in the Centre of Excellence.
Tinubu recommended that Dr Mohammad Bambado remains the only Sarkin Fulani of Lagos while also recognising Sa’adu Yusuf Gulma as the Chairman Arewa Community APC in Lagos State.
He made the ratifications while receiving a report submitted by a harmonisation committee set up to look into the leadership tussle in the Arewa community of Lagos.
The Harmonization Committee had Kano Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as chairman and Alhaji Lawal Abbas Garba as Secretary.
With the latest development, respondents, who had followed events regarding the Arewa community issues as they unfolded, commended particularly the fact that the fine leaders of people, Bambado and Yaro have been vindicated as they remain the committed traditional leaders of their respective communities in Lagos State.
“I am particularly delighted about the resolution and endorsement as it affects His Royal Highness Dr. Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II’s position. He has been a fantastic traditional leader of the Fulani in Lagos State and will be better at it, especially now that everyone knows who is who. I congratulate Bambado II as Sarkin Fulani of Lagos and congratulate Yaro as Sarkin Hausawa in the state,” an ostensibly gladdened spectator said.
