2023: Buhari’s succession plan shrouded in uncertainty as Gov Ayade claims got President’s nod to join race

*I’ll support Jonathan if APC presents him as flagbearer — Cross River Governor

How President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor will emerge ahead of All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries and the 2023 general elections was further shrouded in uncertainty Tuesday, as yet another contestant, declaring interest, claims he has secured the President’s nod to join the race.

The new comer in the declaration game is Governor of Cross Rivers State, Prof. Benedict Ayade, from the South South of the country.

He, however, pledged to support former President Goodluck Jonathan if the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presents him as the party’s flagbearer for the 2023 election.
