WAR DAY 11: Battle for Ukraine’s capital goes ballistic, as Russian troops now match to Kyiv, head to 3rd nuclear plant
Indian Today’s special broadcast shows that Russian soldiers, having attacked many locations around the Ukrainian capital Kyiv is not set to proceed to the seat of power in the country.
Its journalist, Guarav Sawant said this while giving life update amidst panic as bombs dropped left, right and centre in what looked like Kyiv, this Monday 11th day of the war, is now finally under several attacks to suggest that Russian troops are now more seriously approaching the seat of power in the country.
In the video broadcast, Sawant pointed to a bomb that dropped 50 meter before where he stood and the scroll on the video shows Sumy and sever other cities in Ukraine have been cut off while the Russian troops now aimed to cut Ukraine off from the Black Sea.
Despite resistance from Ukrainian soldiers, Russian forces were also said to now be heading to third nuclear plant in the country as the war continues.
According to the Indian broadcasting Journalist, Sawant, “This special broadcast comes to you from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine and over the cause of the next one hour we get you an unprecedented update 360 degree view in Ukraine,” he had said in the earlier live coverage on Monday.
Reporting on, he said: “The Russian armed forces are systematically targeting not just Kharkiv but multiple locations very close to the Ukrainian capital Kyiv…Now this battle on day 11 is really close and scaringly close to Kyiv. Several …have been targeted, edifice assets have been targeted. The Rassian soldiers are relentlessly now matching .”
Ukrainian authorities said it has killed 11,000 Russian men and downed 44 of their military planes.
In the meantime, as at Monday morning, Russia’s ruthless assault on Ukrainian cities persisted as it advanced towards the capital, Kyiv, having bombarded several cities around the capital.
Sawant said he saw Ukrainian army firing missiles to Russian soldiers but, as things are, the Russian forces had taken control of Khaskia in Luhansk region of Ukraine and are now heading to the third nuclear plant in the country.
“The city that continues to bear the brunt of Russian shelling, Russia’s non-stopping aerial bombardment is the city of Irpin, just 25km from Ukrainian capital, Kyiv,” apparently panic Guarav Sawant of India Today, lying on the ground as a bomb dropped 50 meters away from where he was, reported from ground zero Irpin.
