Protesters block National Assembly gate over Ndume

Hundred of protesters have taken over the main entrance of the National Assembly, demanding for the restatement of suspended former Senator, Ali Ndume.

Ndume was suspended last Wednesday over the motions he raised on the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi West).

He had asked for investigation of allegations of importion of a bullet proof range rover with fake documents involving Senate President Bukola Saraki and that of perjury involving Dino Melaye.

Bearing placards that read “Borno stand with Ndume”, ” Bring back our Ndume”,  ” Nigerians are with Ndume” , ” Saraki is a curse to Democracy” ,.. the protesters including Displaced Persons appealed to Saraki to rescind the decision.
