Marufh Bello, City Hill News publisher, is dead

An Ibadan based Journalist and Chief Executive Officer/Editor-in-Chief of City Hill News, Mr. Marufh Bello, is dead.

He passed away on Monday 1 November, 2021 in a ghastly auto crash around More Plantation in Ibadan, Oyo State capital and was buried Tuesday 2 November according Islamic rites.

Bello, a former senior reporter of The Nigerian Tribune, had served as Editor at Spectrum Books Limited and wrote for several newspapers with special identification with and as editorial contributor, Oyo State, to The DEFENDER Newspaper Nigeria.

He also functioned as media assistant and consultant to individuals and groups before floating his own online newspaper, the City Hill News, on 1 November, 2020 and had since doubled as the Chief Executive Officer/Editor-in-Chief of the online newspaper until his shocking death on Monday, 1 November, 2021, exactly one year after establishing owner of his own media organisation.

The author of Kabana Republic, Bello, died leaving behind a wife and children.
