Ex-Gov Yari Advises FG on security

Former Zamfara State Governor AbdulAziz Abubakar Yari has called on the Federal Government to take holistic approach to security issues in the North Western state and county in general.
He made the appeal while exchanging views with journalists on the current security situation in the country at his resident in Talata Mafara, Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Yari said the security agencies must look at the situation holistically and find ways and manner of addressing the problems.
He said the situation must be tackled devoid of politics and that politicians must not politicize the issue of security to the detriment of the people.
The former governor, who is Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, further called on the Federal Government to provide and mobilize resources and personnel to the prone areas to meet the bandits in their hideouts and crush them.
He narrated that dialogue can only be achieved if the bandits are hit hard by the security agencies and call on Government at levels not to dialogue on the terms of the bandits
He appeals to people to cooperate and support the federal government efforts in tackling the issue of insecurity in the country.
