Tinubu will bounce back – Loyalists
Loyalists of one of the leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, are optimistic that the former Governor of Lagos State would bounce back to the controlling height of the party.
This was sequel to Wednesday recognition of factional acting chairman of the party Victor Geidom by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Analysts believe that the President’s action was a major slap on the face of the faction of the party remotely controlled by Tinubu.
Tinubu had supported the emergence of former Governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi as the acting chairman after the court sent packing the former chairman Adam Oshiomhole.
While some believe that Tinubu might be on his way out of the party’s control desk, many of his loyalists have said the former Governor has up his sleeve the capacity to turn things around in his favour.
“You think it is over for Tinubu? Those are the thinkings of those who don’t know Tinubu,” said one former Minister who does not want his name mentioned.
A former Commissioner for Information in Lagos State said he sees Tinubu coming back stronger as the intrigues continue within the party.
“If you think Tinubu will leave APC for anyone you are totally wrong. He is the game changer,” he said.
