ONDO 2020: Akeredolu picks APC expression of interest, nomination forms, visits President Buhari
By Kemi Kasumu
President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday received in audience Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, in State House Abuja.
During the visit, he presented the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to the President.
Akeredolu’s ascension to Alagbaka, the seat of government in Akure, was on the strength of President Buhari at a time the deciders of South West political successful wanted him demoted and failed, hence understandable why Buhari became his next point of call after collecting the forms from APC national Secretariat Abuja.
Reacting to the visit, a source said: “That’s the Ondo State resources manager….he cleared 7 months salaries arrears left by his predecessor Dr. Mimiko! Since then, he cleared the arrears, including what was owed the pensioners! He then went ahead to put in place a salary payment system that makes sure every Ondo State worker gets paid immediately/promptly at the end of every month.
“All these did not hold him back from carrying out developmental projects! Matter of fact, the President recently commissioned a road/flyover complex! That’s a consummate manager!
“Should it be a crime that an APC governor is doing exceptionally well in his state? To me, it should be to the credit of the party! 4+4=8 for AKETI! No shaking!” He said.
