SOZECOM Boss, Maidoki, visits Indonesian Embassy, promises visit to Jakarta
The Executive Chairman of Sokoto State Zakat and Endowment Commission (SOZECOM), Mallam Muhammad Lawal Maidoki, in company of Mr Yakubu Umar Bagida SOZECOM Abuja Liaison Officer recently paid a working visit to the Indonesian Embassy in Abuja. Were Mallam Maidoki discuss issues of relatively importance with the Ambassador, Amb. Dr. Usra Hendra Harahap.
During the visit, both dignitories discussed issues of collaboration in different areas such as Agriculture, Industralization, Economy, Culture and Education.
Mallam Maidoki highlighted series of developmental issues in which Sokoto State and the Indonesian government should collaborate.
Dr. Harahap described Sokoto State as a renowned state with vast historical background which, he said, led to his developing keen interest in visiting the Nigeria’s most peaceful state.
Also, the SOZECOM boss briefly outlined some tour experiences during his visit to Indonesia in 2016, 2017, 2018 and hopefully to be in Jakarta, the country’s capital by the 20th July, 2019.
Responding, Amb. Harahap accepted the invitation to visit the Sultanate Council in due course.
