Kwara Bye-Election: PDP’s defeat show of supremacy between Bukola Saraki, Lai Mohammed – Canada-based Group

*Says Saraki has suffered another defeat as PDP national leader

*Adds results evidence  of Kwarans resolve to sink Saraki dynasty

“The November 17 election in Kwara State exposed the artificial popularity and supremacy of Saraki when it comes to free and fair election. The election showed that the Senate President was not really in control of Kwara State as he thought and he is not really politically relevant in an atmosphere of free and fair election in the state of harmony.”

The Ontario, Canada-based Crusade Against Corruption and Indiscipline in Nigeria (CACINI) has described the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) at Saturday April 17, 2018 House of Representatives by-election in Kwara State as yet another defeat suffered by embattled Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki as National Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking from Canadan through a message to The DEFENDER signed by its President, Mr. Waheed Seriki, CACINI, whose mission against Saraki and his political group members following what it described as their promotion of corruption and impunity at all levels, celebrated what it called disgrace of Senate President by the APC at the by-election.

It will be recalled that candidate of APC at the eve of the election was shut on a campaign ground in Omu Aran, Kwara South.

Seriki said: “Saturday House of Representative by-election was a test of supremacy between Alhaji Lai Muhammed of APC and the PDP national leader Bukola Saraki.

The APC candidate Raheem Olawuyi defeated his closest rival, who is embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki’s anointed candidate, Saheed Damilare of PDP in Irepodun/Ekiti/Isin/Oke Ero Federal Constituency on Saturday by-election to the House of Representative.

“Raheem Olawuyi polled 21,236 votes to emerge as the winner of the election.  While his closest rival Saheed Damilare scored 18,095 votes in a keenly contested election to the House of Representative bye-election in Kwara State.

“The APC also won the bye-election in Kankiya/Kusada/ingiwa federal constituency of Katsina State to clinch the three seat out of the four vacant seat in the House of Representative.

“Saturday election defeat of PDP by APC, most especially in Kwara State was a big blow to Bukola Saraki as the national leader of the Peoples Democratic Party because PDP as a party has lost two major elections since Bukola Saraki was declared as the party number one and the national leader.

“The PDP as a party lost governorship election in Osun State and Saturday election in three out of the four by-elections in Federal Constituencies since Bukola Saraki became their national leader.

“The November 17 election in Kwara State exposed the artificial popularity and supremacy of Saraki when it comes to free and fair election. The election showed that the Senate President was not really in control of Kwara State as he thought and he is not really politically relevant in an atmosphere of free and fair election in the state of harmony.

“The by-election in Kwara State is a stepping stone for the APC as a party in 2019 election to reclaim their transferred mandate to PDP by Bukola Saraki, and to get Bukola Saraki for gradual preparation for the termination of his dynasty in Kwara.

“Bukola Saraki is now gradually coming to reality that Kwara State is not under his control any longer. The people of the state were very determined to vote for Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq in 2019 election as the governor of the state to liberate them from Saraki’s dynasty, captivity and bondage,” CACINI said.
