A source told The DEFENDER that the governor has between a commissioner in his cabinet and his private personal assistant to choose for Abubakar’s replacement.
The cabinet member is Commissioner for Agriculture, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna while the Private Personal Assistant (PPA), Alhaji Ibrahim Kamkarofi, among who the governor was said to choose which one would suit his consideration of a good strategy to neutralise the political crisis that is already brewing in the duo’s Kano Central over who gets its senatorial slot.
It would be recalled that both Gawuna and Kamkarofi were among the politicians aspiring for the senatorial seat in 2019.
