Deji of Akure hosts Muslims to Iftar in Palace

In furtherance to his effort at ensuring love, peace, unity and development among people of his domain, the Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi II, will later this Tuesday host the Muslims in Akure, the state capital, to an Iftar, the Muslim fast breaking event at his Palace.

This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deji of Akure, Mr. Michael Adeyeye.

According to the statement, the event is scheduled to hold at the Ua Lila’s Court of the Deji’s Palace by 5:00pm and run till fast breaking time on Tuesday.

The selected Islamic scholars and leaders numbering about 200 will be led by the Chief Imam of Akure, Sheik Abdul-Hakeem Yayi Akorede.

Oba Aladetoyinbo becomes the first Akure monarch to host the Muslim community to a breaking of fast during Ramadan.
