The police said the men are wanted for the death of Chief Minikwu Chukwu, Cletus Barigbinee and 10 others in Mgboshimini.

Members of the public were advised to report any information on the wanted suspects to the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, the paramount ruler of Rumueme kingdom in Obio-Akpor local government area, Nyeweli Omunakwe Nsirim, said to be the owner of the property where some the victims were killed condemned the killings.

While condoling members of the bereaved family, Nsirim described the killings as senseless and wondered what the killers wanted by killing innocent persons and setting them ablaze.

“What do they want? I don’t know what they want. We are ready to give the police 100 percent support to be able to fish out this killers wherever they are. A committee will be set up to liaise with the police.”

A security expert Colonel Owhonda (retd) has advised the Rivers State Government to have a rethink about the abolishment of the existence of community vigilantes in the state.

He pointed out that it was wrong for the government to abolish the vigilantes who are supposed to lend a helping hand to the police and security agencies because they are familiar with residents in every community.
