“Very true. When you love Nigeria and Nigerians are being subjected to this Pro Max hardship, suffering and punishment by Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, you would be desperate to bring relief for their victims,” said Onochie.

Former presidential aide and frontline member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Lauretta Onochie, has responded to the Tinubu’s Presidency’s statement describing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as “desperate” ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Onochie, in a post on her X handle, agreed that Atiku was “desperate”, but said his desperation was driven by his desire to alleviate the hardship facing Nigerians.

She wrote, “Very true. When you love Nigeria and Nigerians are being subjected to this Pro Max hardship, suffering and punishment by Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, you would be desperate to bring relief for their victims.

“That is why Atiku Abubakar is desperate to create an #AffordableNigeria. And Affordable Nigeria is what Nigerians will get. Here is the Relief Package.

“Atiku stands with Nigeria. Stand by Atiku; together, we will rescue our people and bring the relief and prosperity we all deserve as Nigerians.

“God bless Nigeria,” she concluded.
