MIND Foundation concludes cohort 2 capacity-building programme for Muslim first-class graduates

The training was aimed at equipping the young graduates with practical knowledge and competencies needed to bridge existing skill gaps and compete effectively in corporate, entrepreneurial and professional environments.
The MIND Foundation has concluded the final phase of its Career Advancement Programme (MINDCAP) for Cohort 2 (2025/2026), an intensive human capacity development initiative designed to equip high-achieving Muslim graduates with essential skills for success in the modern workforce.
The final session of the programme was held on July 26 at the Environmental and Social Centre, University of Lagos, bringing together selected Muslim First-Class graduates for practical training and mentorship focused on personal development, leadership and enterprise.
The three-part programme was designed to bridge critical gaps in education, entrepreneurship and soft skills while preparing participants to navigate the complexities of modern career and business environments.
Across the three modules, experienced facilitators, including Dr. Jubril Salaudeen, Malam Saberedowo Hassan Kehinde, Mr. Hameed Danmole, Dr. Abubakar Yekeen, Mrs. Mento Mo, Mr. Sulaiman Olokodana, Engr. Bakare Fatai and Mrs. Olayiwoyin, delivered practical masterclasses covering project management, effective public speaking, modern workplace tools, politics and power, critical thinking, Sharia intelligence, entrepreneurship fundamentals, business plan development, remote work and money management.
The training was aimed at equipping the young graduates with practical knowledge and competencies needed to bridge existing skill gaps and compete effectively in corporate, entrepreneurial and professional environments.
Distinguished members of the MIND Foundation Board of Trustees and executive leadership also attended the programme to mentor participants and observe the sessions, reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of ethical and high-performing leaders.
Speaking on the impact of the initiative, a representative of the foundation and member of its Board of Trustees, Alhaji YKO Abdulkareem, said empowering academically outstanding young people with practical enterprise and career-development tools was essential to promoting sustainable economic growth and reducing socio-economic inequalities.
He added that the annual programme would continue to support selected young graduates in achieving their career aspirations while fostering effective partnerships between the Muslim community and other relevant stakeholders.
The MIND Foundation said the initiative reflects its broader commitment to developing human capital and creating opportunities for talented young Muslims to contribute meaningfully to society and the economy.
