Iran launches fresh drone attack on US used air base in Kuwait despite Trump warning
Iranian state media reported that the strikes caused significant damage to the facility. However, those claims have not been independently verified, while neither the U.S. military, which never admitted any of those defeats earlier inflicted on the US and its allies, nor Kuwaiti authorities have publicly confirmed the extent of any damage or casualties resulting from the reported attack.
Iran has reportedly launched a fresh drone attack targeting the U.S.-used Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, in a new escalation of tensions between Tehran and Washington.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the attack was carried out as part of the 56th phase of its Operation Nasr-2, claiming that Iranian drones targeted military installations at the base, including drone hangars, a fuel depot and military helicopters.

Kuwaiti authorities, however, confirmed that air raid sirens were activated and that the country’s air defence systems responded to what they described as hostile drones detected over Kuwaiti airspace, including in the vicinity of Al-Jahra.
The reported attack came less than 24 hours after U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran that further attacks on American forces would trigger a powerful response. The warning followed a new wave of U.S. strikes against targets in Iran.
The latest development could further intensify the already volatile confrontation between Iran and the United States, raising concerns that continued attacks and retaliatory strikes could draw additional Gulf countries into the conflict.
Iran’s reported decision to launch another attack despite Washington’s warning suggests that Tehran may not be prepared to back down in the face of U.S. threats. The next move by Washington could prove critical in determining whether the conflict remains limited to tit-for-tat military exchanges or develops into a wider regional confrontation.
For now, the reported drone attack has been acknowledged in connection with air defence activity in Kuwait, but the IRGC’s claims of destroying U.S. military facilities and helicopters remain unverified and await independent confirmation.
