Prof Kehinde Kareem joins Crescent University

A cerebral scholar, she has published over 60 journal articles and has attended national and international seminars and conferences over the years.
A professor of Microbiology at the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Ibadan, Kehinde Titilope Kareem has joined academic community of Crescent University, Abeokuta.
Prof. Kareem will be contributing her wealth of experience of about two decades in science and training to the College of Natural and Allied Sciences (CONAS) of the prestigious Crescent University which prides itself as citadel of academic and moral excellence.
According to her letter of appointment dated 17th March, 2026 and signed by the University Registrar, Prince Zakariyya Ajibola, Prof. Kehinde Titilope Kareem will be on one-year sabbatical effective April 2026.
“I write on behalf of the Governing Council of the Crescent University to approve your application for Sabbatical Appointment as Professor in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences”, the letter stated
A research professor, Prof. Titilope Kareem joined Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta as Assistant Lecturer (2006-2009), then moved to Natural Horticultural Research Institute, Ibadan as Research Officer I (2009-2012) and Senior Research Officer,Plant Virologist (2012-2013).
She later joined Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Obafemi Awolowo University becoming a Research Fellow I between 2013-2016; Senior Research Fellow, University-Plant Virologist- between 2016-2019; Principal Research Fellow, 2019-2022 and Research Professor from 2022 till date.
Dr Titilope Kareem is a recipient of scholarship, awards and fellowships including: Conference of All Muslim Organization of Nigeria (CAMON) Scholarship (2009-2010),
Dean’s Award for students with Grade Point Average of 4.50 and above in the College of Natural Sciences, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (1998/99), Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Food Safety (2016), Connected Virus Network Fellowship Virus Vector Viceversa (CONNECTEDV4) held at University of Bristol, United Kingdom (2019) and several others
