Mouth wags as Trump says U.S. should be involved in selecting Iran’s next Supreme Leader

The Trump’s wish was described by some as goose chase as he was accused of wanting a say in battle he did not win.
United States of America President Donald Trump sparked debates with his recent expression of thought that the American government should play a role in selecting Iran’s next supreme leader following the martyred leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to recent media interviews.
Speaking to journalists, Trump said he believes Washington must be involved in the process of choosing Iran’s new leader, arguing that the outcome will have major implications for regional stability and U.S. interests.
Trump also voiced strong opposition to the possible appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei, the late leader’s son, who has been widely discussed as a potential successor. He described Mojtaba as “unacceptable” and said the United States should support a leader who could bring “harmony and peace to Iran.”
“I have to be involved in the appointment,” Trump said in the interview, comparing the situation to U.S. involvement in political developments in Venezuela.
The Trump’s wish was described by some as goose chase as he was accused of wanting a say in battle he did not win.
The fact that son of the supreme leader they martyred emerged as new supreme leader was said to be that Trump and his co-traveller, Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel failed to achieve their joint regime change in the Islamic Republic though there is no basis for their involvement as Western world and Muslim World are not linked.
Under Iran’s constitution, the selection of the supreme leader is the responsibility of the Assembly of Experts, a body of senior Shiite clerics elected by the public. Analysts say it remains unclear how the United States could influence the process, as the assembly operates within Iran’s political and religious system and has historically been strongly opposed to U.S. involvement.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and uncertainty over Iran’s leadership transition following the death of Ali Khamenei.
