Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Assistant Inspector-General Tunji Disu as new Inspector-General of Police in the country, replacing Kayode Egbetokun.
A presidency source reportedly confirmed the development on Tuesday, stating that an official announcement would be made shortly.

Egbetokun’s removal marks a significant leadership change at the helm of the Nigeria Police Force. The circumstances surrounding his replacement have not yet been officially disclosed.
