“Wike has been checkmated, ‎the “God of Yerima” has checkmated him”

By ELDER AYUBA STEVE JP

“Wike’s political journey has reached its natural end. I’m not wishing him bad; but that’s simply how politics works. He has been checkmated. The “God of Yerima” has checkmated him.”

‎I stayed quiet while people claimed there was a faction inside the PDP. I never saw it as a real threat, because I already knew Wike would eventually be checkmated.

‎Now that he has been expelled and Fubara has practically taken control of Port Harcourt, it has become necessary to speak.

‎Wike’s conduct has never aligned with democratic principles. And I honestly look forward to seeing what court will deliver a favourable judgment to an FCT Minister under an APC government who still insists on controlling the structure of another party.

‎To make matters worse, he even had the audacity to tell the party not to field a presidential candidate. Political rascality.

‎When he was governor, they never allowed anyone to control them. They formed the G-5 Governors and seized political power in their respective states.

‎Now that they are no longer governors, they want to keep controlling the system, moving around with former governors like Ortom to challenge sitting governors like Makinde and Bala. Something he would never have tolerated during his own time in office.

‎Wike’s political journey has reached its natural end. I’m not wishing him bad; but that’s simply how politics works.

‎He has been checkmated.

‎The “God of Yerima” has checkmated him.
