Another divisive governance exposed, as Nigerian government alleged over exclusive use of Redeem Church-affiliated venues for Passport Intervention Exercise in UK

This is happening amidst concerns that despite the Nigerian Muslims being the largest victims of the dragging insecurity, the Christian community in the country, due to access to Western and local media and lobbying systems, is turning the tide against the Muslims to the extent, beyond their acclaimed Christian genocide, that they are also engaging in international campaign currently with consideration to declare as terrorist society the Sokoto Caliphate where the leader of the over half-entire national population Muslims has his throne.
In what appears to be vindication of complainants that influence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s wife, Oluremi, as pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is rubbing on his ability to deliver equitable governance among diverse peoples in a multi-religious and multi-ethnic society like Nigeria, it has been revealed that another major national service affecting members of the various religions is now under the control of a Christian denomination – the RCCG, her church.

Many of citizens, who had been criticizing politicians as users of religion to divide Nigerians among themselves, are now claiming justification as one of them said, “This is how they put particularly the Muslims of Nigeria in tight corner only to make them reactionary elements whereas when you pinch a person he must react, but how many of those who should listen and take action over the reaction are serious about listening talk less of taking action.”
To this end, the Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC), while reviewing the recent public notice issued by the Nigeria High Commission, London, announcing the December 2025 Passport Intervention Exercise for the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom, said it is all Redeemed Christian Church of God affair.
In a statement by its Executive Chairman, Disu Kamor, the Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC), Nigeria said every venue selected for the national service in the United Kingdom is not just only a church but also the church belonging to or affiliated to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
As this attempt and others keep exposing them that the reason they are working with the United States of America’s President Donald Trump to invade their own country they own together with Muslims is not truly because of Christian genocide but, mainly, to help take over Nigeria and make it a Christian State, complainants against all of these hypocrisies say “we are vindicated”.
According to them, “What is the connection of Shari’ah Law in use in Northern Nigeria with what they call Christian genocide? In essence what they are saying is that the mission of President Trump is Nigeria is to come help the Christians wipe out their Muslim brothers and sisters so they can conveniently claim and declare Nigeria’s a Christian State.
“This is not Christlike and umbilical and so we will never be pushed to mounting unnecessary fight against our Christian brothers and sisters because the Qur’an and Hadeeth are clear about cordial relationships that exist between us.
“That is why we will continue to mount pressure on the system to give good governance as against self-centered politics of division that is setting Nigerians against themselves along ethnic and religious lines,” they said, according to Khalid Waqas, who was asked to react to the latest development involving the Tinubu’s government international passports policy and the alleged christianisation of process as it is revealed to be in the UK.
Expanding the discovery, Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC) Nigeria said, “After a careful assessment of the published schedule, MPAC expresses profound concern that every venue selected for this national service is a church belonging to, affiliated with, or originally established by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – including some venues where “RCCG” has been removed from the name, but the ownership and denominational identity remain unchanged.
“In a religiously diverse nation such as Nigeria, and within a Nigerian diaspora community in the UK that includes large populations of Muslims, Christians of various denominations, and non-religious citizens, the choice of venues for a public service of national importance must never lean – directly or indirectly – towards religious exclusivity. The pattern reflected in this schedule is unmistakable, deeply troubling, and inconsistent with the constitutional and moral obligation of the Nigerian government to maintain religious neutrality in the administration of public services.
“In the interest of clarity, the following are the exact venues published by the Nigeria High Commission for the intervention exercise:

The MPAC Chairman said, “The consistency across these locations tells a story that cannot be explained away as coincidence or logistical inevitability. It presents a worrying trend where a Nigerian public institution operating abroad appears to align its outreach services with a single religious denomination. Even when names like “RCCG” are tactically removed – such as Open Heavens Glasgow – the underlying ownership and denominational identity remain the same.
“This approach, whether deliberate or the result of poor judgement, is deeply insensitive to Muslims and other Nigerians in the UK who should never be placed in circumstances where they are required to enter a worship space of another faith in order to access a basic government service.
“In the spirit of fairness, equity, and constitutional responsibility, MPAC calls on the Nigeria High Commission to immediately:
“1. Review and replace the listed venues with neutral, non-religious locations such as council halls, civic centres, community centres, school halls, or other public-access facilities commonly used for diaspora events.
“2. Adopt a transparent venue-selection policy that ensures balanced representation and prevents institutional bias.
“3. Engage with a wider representation of Nigerian community structures in the UK, including Muslim organisations, neutral civic groups, and interfaith platforms.
“4. Clarify to the Nigerian public why such homogeneity in venue choice occurred, and what measures will prevent recurrence.”
He said, “Nigerians abroad already face enough challenges. Government services must not add to those burdens or send unintended messages of exclusion. When a High Commission selects venues exclusively tied to one religious denomination for a national service, it erodes trust, fuels suspicion, and undermines the very unity it claims to serve.
“MPAC will continue to advocate for fairness, justice, and an inclusive public sphere where every Nigerian – Muslim, Christian, or otherwise – is served without fear, discomfort, or the sense of being treated as an afterthought.
“Our expectation is simple and legitimate: national institutions must reflect the nation, not a denomination.”
The concerned Nigerian Muslims are saying “although what is heard at the surface is Muslims being the persecutors of Christians in Nigeria in trying to explain allegedly Western created internationally linked terrorist activities that are ravaging not only Christians but largely Muslims and animists, truth is that there are some Christians who believe that the international politics and media are meant for them and who are using same to cause injurious experiences for Muslims hiding under sometimes the hatred they they have for Hausa-Fulani in the country.”
