Gov Sanwo-Olu receives Saudi Arabia’s high-power delegation in Lagos House

Among the distinguished members of the delegation was His Highness Alhaji Dr. Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II, the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos, who joined in the discussions geared towards fostering mutual understanding and community development between the Kingdom and state.
His Excellency Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, on Wednesday November 26, 2025, received in audience His Excellency Mr. Saad Al Marri, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, who led a high-power delegation on a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Government in Lagos House, Marina.


The visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations, exploring new avenues for economic cooperation, and deepening cultural and developmental partnerships between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Lagos State, the Nigeria’s biggest economy.
Among the distinguished members of the delegation was His Highness Alhaji Dr. Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II, the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos, who joined in the discussions geared towards fostering mutual understanding and community development between the Kingdom and state.
Also present was Dr. Jamil Hausawi, who contributed to dialogues on potential collaborations across social and economic sectors.
Governor Sanwo-Olu welcomed the delegation warmly and expressed Lagos State’s readiness to work collaboratively on initiatives that will enhance growth and opportunities for residents and strengthen ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The DEFENDER reports that, per adventure to show the extent of of his appreciation of the diplomatic mission visiting him as head of Nigeria’s biggest economy, Governor Sanwo-Olu on his verified Facebook social media timeline wrote about the visit underscoring its importance to the state.

“Today, I received the Charge d’Affaires of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Saad Fahad Almarri, on a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina,” said the governor.
The visit was generally described as cordial, productive, and promising for future engagements.
