The Tinubu’s closed-door meeting with the Sultan is believed to be in continuation of President Tinubu’s consultation on religious matters, having met with the Archbishop of the Abuja Catholic Diocese, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama, a few days before.

Presidential consultation with multifaceted leader and the Christian Bishop followed the alleged religious persecution in the country.

The DEFENDER reports that the Sultan had earlier joined the Jummah prayer in the State House, where the Imam, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Suleiman Abubakar, admonished the faithful to continue to support government’s effort aimed at ensuring peace and security in the country

He described peace as part of the obligation of the individual and for the general development of the society.
