Iran vows to build advanced defensive weaponry without approval of any foreign nation

“The Iranian nation will never succumb to pressure and that preserving the country’s technological achievements is the legacy of thousands of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of national progress,” he said.
A senior Iranian military official has declared that the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, would continue to develop advanced defensive weaponry without seeking approval from any foreign power.
According to a report by the Iran News Agency on Sunday 28 September, 2025, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, Spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces while speaking during a ceremony honoring martyrs in the city of Qom, firmly linked the nation’s right to self-defense to the legacy of those who sacrificed their lives, framing the country’s technological and military advancements as a non-negotiable inheritance from its fallen heroes.
He also described the nuclear program of Iran as a tool for development and prosperity in fields like medicine, agriculture, and industry, pointing out the hypocrisy of nuclear-armed nations denying Iran’s inalienable right to peaceful nuclear energy.
In his words, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said, “Iran’s nuclear program is a tool for development and prosperity for the country in the fields of medicine, agriculture, and industry.
“Despite possessing nuclear weapons and missiles carrying nuclear warheads, enemies ignore the inalienable right of the Iranian nation to have peaceful nuclear energy. Is it wise for a country that has advanced weapons to ask another country to reduce its defense capabilities?
“The Iranian nation will never succumb to pressure and that preserving the country’s technological achievements is the legacy of thousands of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of national progress,” he said.
The Iranian General, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi went further to caution that any weakening of Iraniandomestic cohesion would embolden enemies and fuel their conspiracies against the State, highlighting a soft war being waged against Iran, aimed at damaging the country’s cultural and ideological foundations by targeting the minds and beliefs of the youth.
He also cited the just concluded conflict between Iran, and the Israeli regime that resulted in the death of several innocent civilians as a testament to the nation’s resilience, claiming that the unified response of the Iranian people and defense forces, guided by the Supreme Leader, led to the enemy’s frustration and failure in its objective to create internal division.
